Lithgow really does have it all – historic buildings ideal for the perfect backdrop, accessible landscape so film makers can show the true Australian experience and picturesque scenery, perfect locations for film makers and photographers.
This year has already been a busy year for filming and photography in the Lithgow area.
In 2014, Lithgow area has hosted a film shoot in Portland, a trailer for an upcoming movie in Wallerawang and a TV commercial for Subaru.
R.M Williams also recently launched its autumn and winter catalogue featuring images of the Lithgow area captured last year through a joint Blue Mountains Lithgow & Oberon Tourism, Lithgow Tourism and Fairmont Resort MGallery project with support from other tourism operators throughout the Blue Mountains and Lithgow.
Lithgow Mayor Maree Statham said: “It was great to see Lithgow being a major focus for filming and photography over the past few months.
“For Lithgow to feature in a major fashion catalogue such as R.M Williams is a true indication of how unique our area is.
“I was pleased to see how the local community welcomed and supported the filming in the area, with some locals even volunteering as extras for the movie production and I look forward to seeing the area on the big screen in the near future.’’
Release dates for the filming and TV commercial will be available in due course.
Copies of the R.M Williams catalogue are available from R.M Williams outlets including at Leura and Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa and on line.
